The Western Ghats that run parallel to India’s Western Coast are recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and are in the top hot-spots of biodiversity in the world. This campsite is situated at Bari village, at the base of the highest peak in Maharashtra, Kalsubai – allowing visitors to interact and engage with the local flora and fauna as well as the unique local culture of the region.
At this campsite, you will engage with the locals and learn about their lifestyle and their culture. As such, tents will be set up in the village itself. Food served will be authentic and organic, home made by the local inhabitants of the village.
During the pre-monsoon season, the region is swamped with thousands and millions of fireflies that light up the night sky, making this experience truly special!
